A seminar by the country’s leading methodologist in the area of accounting, Igor Sukharev, and director of the National Nongovernmental Accounting Regulator, the Accounting Methodology Center, Oksana Sukhareva, was held at SUSU. These two are the developers of the leading standards for accounting of fixed assets, inventory, and intangible assets.
“You don’t need to be an accountant to understand how important this is for business,” stated one participant of the seminar, director of the SUSU department of financial accounting, analysis, and auditing, Irina Prosvirina, “the lecturers differed by their clear understanding of how accounting is connected to all forms of management in a company. It’s impossible to have good reporting in a company if there are no business processes or if the leadership is not willing to analyze their employees’ communication with creditors and different investors. And they were able to impart this upon the audience, making it interesting even to those whose work is not directly connected to accounting.”
At the end of the seminar, the lecturers and pro-rector of academic affairs Andrey Shmidt agreed to include the department financial accounting, analysis and auditing in the expert committee for the Accounting Methodology Center Fund. Now, businesses and organizations in Chelyabinsk and the Chelyabinsk region will be able to quickly acquaint themselves with the highest quality models of accounting.
