A switch is beginning at SUSU to a system of effective contracts. Before September 1st 2016, employees will sign work contracts which take the contributions of each member of the collective in achieving the university’s strategic goals into mind.
As part of the 5-100 project at SUSU, implementation of a system of effective contracts is planned beginning September 2016, developed in accordance with the program to gradually increase salaries and with the action plan for the realization of the program for increasing competitiveness (Road Map). An effective contract provides for a wage increase for scientists and pedagogues by establishing incentive payments according to the number of points earned for individual performance indicators in research and teaching.
The new method for evaluating the efficiency of SUSU researchers’ and pedagogues’ work offers additional opportunities for career growth, and gives everyone a chance to show themselves as researchers and teachers and to receive a worthy reward for their labor.
The methodology and key criteria for evaluating key performance indicators (KPI) for scientific and academic work were approved in June 2016 at the conference for scientific and academic employees and representatives of different employment and study categories for SUSU. The KPI system takes both individual and team achievements into account. The actual values for KPI are changed into points using a special algorithm. The number of points needed to increase salary can be achieved as a result of any combination of KPI. The individual capabilities of every professor and the sum of his achievements in scientific and academic work will be taken into account.
Currently there is an overall KPI evaluation for scientific and academic workers at SUSU, the results of which will determine incentive pay size.
University employees can become acquainted with the individual KPI in their private profile for the corporate informational and analytical system, UNIVERIS, in the KPI NPR section beginning August 25th, 2016.
