Within the All-Russian competition, Patriots of Russia, SUSU was visited by the director of the International Press Club, doctor of political sciences, professor Aleksandr Chumikov.
Aleksandr Nikolaevich met with the university rector, Aleksandr Shestakov, and dean of the faculty of journalism, Lyudmila Shesterkina. As part of the visit, they told the guest from the capital about the reorganization of the university and discussed the upcoming final of the Patriots of Russia contest.
Additionally, Aleksandr Chumikov is also a member of the Supervisory Board SUSU for Project 5-100.
“There are cities which I can call dear to me, and Chelyabinsk is one of them. I’ve been working with the region closely over the last 15 years: with the administration, mass media, and with SUSU. This is not the first time I’ve been here. It is a big honor for me to be part of the Supervisory Board. Since I’ve already worked with universities included in the 5-100 Project, the topic is familiar, and I think that I’ll be helpful here,” – said Aleksandr Chumikov.
Aleksandr Shestakov noted that Aleksandr Nikolaevich is one of the most popular specialists in advertising in the country.
The contest Patriot of Russia is held in accordance with the governmental program, Patriotic Education of Citizens of the Russian Federation 2016-2020. It is designed to push the media towards bright and extensive coverage of the topics related to the traditions and modern issues in patriotic education.
