On June 2016 the dean of the international program for the Clark University, William Fisher, and assistant dean, Emi Gardner, visited South Ural State University on a friendly business meeting.
During the meeting, prospects for developing partnership and the possibility for broadening the areas for dual master’s programs between South Ural State University and Clark University were discussed.
Since 2011, more than 100 students have enrolled in Russian-American masters’ programs such as Marketing Communication, Management in Information Technology, and Personnel Management. In the future, it is planned to open selection for the dual master’s program Geoinformation Systems and Management.
Besides discussion of further partnership, Emi Gardner and William Fisher were able to visit the laboratory for supercomputer programming, the aviation education center, and the SUSU museum with director of the Institute of Linguistics and International Communications, Lyudmila Ivanovna Shestakova, and give an interview for broadcast company SUSU-TV. In his interview, William Fisher noted the high level of education of SUSU students and positively rated the prospects for future cooperation.
In the evening, postgraduates, students, graduates, and teachers personally chatted with the dean and assistant dean of international programs and received answers on their questions about education at the University of Clark.
