The students of the 4th course of the Faculty of Linguistics Kseniia Zyrianova, Olesia Krasikova, Iuliia Kungurtseva, Olesia Leshkova and Ekaterina Tamgina took part in the Homo Interpretan International Distance Olympiad. The event was arranged by the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation of Volgograd State University together with the Union of Translators of Russia. The works were presented in the nomination of “French Language”.
Olesiia Krasikova took the 2nd place in the category of “Written Translation From French Into Russian Language”. (Supervisor: the Associate Professor of the Department of General Linguistics M.A. Chernysheva)
Olesiia shares her impressions: “It was my first time I participated in such Olympiad. I was especially interested because the topic was connected with a French cinema I was always captivated by.”
All the participants of the Olympiad were awarded certificates. Besides, the administration of the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation of Volgograd State University expressed gratitude to SUSU in the name of Aleksandr Shestakov for upbringing active, hardworking and responsible students.
