The IV Students’ International Championship on Corporate Finance “Growth Driver – 2016” was held the last days of February in Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov.
Applications for participation were received from 120 teams from Russia and near-abroad countries. 24 teams came through to the final, including the team of students representing the Department of Economics and Finance of SUSU.
The students put in a strong performance both in the team (1st place in the team presentation contest) and in the individual event: Mariia Balykina (E&M-424) and Tatiana Shuboderova (E&M-424) were awarded gold medals, diplomas and prerogative right for the admission to the Maser’s Degree program of the Faculty of Economics of MSU. This right can be also used by the students Iuliia Absatarova (E&M-428), Evgeniia Pankratova (E&M-420), Mariia Trembach (E&M-428) and Tatiana Shevaldina (E&M-424) who were awarded silver medals and participation diplomas.
The academic instructors of the Department of Economics and Finance, Doctor of Sciences (Economics), Professor Elena Vaisman and Candidate of Sciences (Economics), Associate Professor Irina Soloveva trained students to the Championship.
We can confidently say that the victory at the International Championship on Corporate Finance “Growth Driver” is a great success for SUSU in the whole and for the Department of Economics and Finance particularly. The Department congratulates the academic staff and students on this victory and wishes new success and achievements.
