The results of VII Internet Mathematical Olympiad for Students, which was held by Ariel University (Israel) on December 15, 2015, were summarized. 127 teams from Russia, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, Israel, Turkmenistan and other countries took part in this competition. Moscow State University, North-Eastern Federal University, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, universities from Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Perm, and Chelyabinsk were among the Russian participants.
SUSU was the only team which won gold medals in the nomination “Blitz Testing” (where teams had to give right answers as quick as possible).
The team members: Nikita Sapronov (MMiKN-192), Ekaterina Anikina (F-242), Ravil Khairullin, Anton Belov (MMiKN-472).
In the nomination “Champion” gold medals were awarded to 7 teams (representing Russia, Israel, Hungary and Turkmenistan), including the SUSU team which showed the best result among all Russian teams!
The team coach is Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Mathematics Alexander Evnin.
