20 specialists of Volzhsky Pipe Plant (VPP), which is a part of TMK (Pipe Metallurgical Company) have completed a program of professional retraining “Metal Treatment under Pressure. Pipe Welding”. The special training course has been developed by South Ural State University and it corresponds to the specialist training program for universities. The training process was organized directly on the premises. As graduation works the trainees developed and defended project proposals in the context of pipe production.
The managing director of VPP Sergey Chetverikov considers, “The modern equipment requires a new way of thinking and personnel competence at all levels. The enterprise is interested in qualified and competent specialists, thus, workers who pass examinations with a grade “excellent” and “good” are included in the management reserve. They all have good career prospects”.
The project of professional retraining of specialists, who have higher but non-major education, has been realized in Volzhsky Pipe Plant together with SUSU for three years. For this period 65 specialists have completed the following programs: “Metal Treatment under Pressure. Pipe and Tube Production” and “Pipe Welding”.
