On December 19, 2015 a round table on ‘Organization of Student Scientific Research Projects at the University’ was held as part of the training program ‘Innovative Technologies in the Global Education’ Institute of Continuing Education of SUSU.
Teachers from SiChuan University (China) Li Peirui, Shang Shiyu, Xia Zhengwei, Yang Xiaobo, Zhang Xiaowei, Li Hexiang and master students from SUSU. Communication was conducted in English. The moderator of the round table was one of the teachers of the program ‘Innovative Technologies in the Global Education’ Ph.D., Associate Professor Milena Volkova. In her speech she characterized the system of organization of Student Scientific Research Projects in South Ural State University and the opportunities provided by the University for the development of scientific creativity of students. Particular attention was paid to the characterization of the annual organizational and mass event ‘Days of Student Science in SUSU’ held in the framework of the All-Russian Science Festival.
Master students presented Student Scientific Research Projects through the eyes of students, spoke about the peculiarities of the organization of Student Scientific Research Projects on their departments, shared the experience of participation in Student Scientific Research Projects, and presented projects that reflected the theme of scientific research in which they were involved.
Projects submitted by students aroused great interest from teachers from China who are the supervisors of similar work in their country.
After the presentations of the students the teacher Shang Shiyu presented a brief comparative analysis of the organization of work for the involvement of students in the organization of Student Scientific Research Projects and the universities of China and Russia with the emphasis on innovative technologies.
