SUSU delegation has visited the III annual national exhibition ‘VUZPROMEKSPO – 2015’ which was held at the beginning of December, 2015 at the site of ‘Moscow’ Technopolis in the capital of Russia. Innovative inventions of research institutes, scientific and educational centers, and world-class laboratories were exhibited on the stand of SUSU. A full-size model of ‘Lastochka’ electrical train, models of glide path transmitter and localizer, a stand of the system of power distribution in transmission of a truck, as well as a model of a tram car were presented among the most important inventions of the university.
A unique hang glider simulator was resented at a separate stand. With the help of this simulator everyone could feel like a real pilot! A robotic tour guide which was telling about the structure and capabilities of the university was cruising between the hang glider simulator and the basic scientific exposition of SUSU.
It is to be recalled that in October, 2015 SUSU entered the group of twenty leading Russian universities which were provided with state support for the increase of their competitiveness among the world's leading research and education centers (the 5-100 Project). Therefore, in addition to the main exhibition the specialists of the University took part in the general exhibition of the 5-100 Project.
During the business program of ‘VUZPROMEKSPO-2015’ SUSU delegation has also initiated round tables on the following topics: ‘Industrial Partnership: Mechanisms of Integration and Research Infrastructure’ and ‘Experience of Cooperation of FSBEI HPE ‘South Ural State University’ (NRU) with Industrial Enterprises of the Real Sector of Economics in the Implementation of Projects on Establishment and Modernization of High-Tech Production’.
The exhibition of SUSU was visited by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science A.B. Povalko. Alexander Borisovich mentioned the overall high-tech level of the exhibition and the level of scientific research and innovations of the University. During ‘VUZPROMEKSPO-2015’ SUSU delegation have established business contacts with representatives of industrial enterprises, state corporations, and universities which in the future should provide positive results in the implementation of joint projects.
In addition, the editorial board of ‘Russia’ TV channel which works on TV programs about science showed interest in research and inventions of SUSU. In the nearest future the preparation of the special program about the scientific inventions of SUSU is going to be made on one of the central TV channels of the country.
