Assess the risks in time: Masters of Business and Competitiveness Valuation Department of Trade and Economic Faculty took part in the business game of MBA-Center of South Ural State University.
On March 15 within the framework of inter-faculty educational cooperation the organizers held the business game “Risks in business – secure growth” for the students of MBA-Center of International Relations Faculty and Master’s program students of Business and Competitiveness Valuation Department of Trade and Economic Faculty.
The partners of the project were factoring company “NFK”, commercial bank “LOKO-Bank”, LLC company “Translizing”, insurance company “Severnaya Kazna” (Yekaterinburg).
In the first part of the event the representatives of companies-partners shared with students the most current secrets of practical tools of business development and optimization. Thus, Director of Chelyabinsk NFK Representative Office, Igor Faynman, told about the implementation of financial logistics tools under the conditions of crisis and recovery after it. Inna Zaytseva, Financial Director of LLC leasing company “Translizing”, analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of leasing implementation at the stage of capital assets renewal of a company. Mariya Evdokimova, Manager of Chelyabinsk branch of commercial bank “LOKO-Bank”, described in the details the proceeding and possible difficulties of credit arrangement for the enterprises of small and medium business. Executive Director of the insurance company “Severnaya Kazna” (Yekaterinburg), business trainer and discussion moderator, Alexander Merenkov, considered the main peculiarities of insurance in business risks management using the demonstrative examples.
After coffee break the program participants were divided into four teams and the business game started. In the course of the game MBA students while solving the business cases of different situations in the real companies (food products wholesale trade, furniture manufacturing, freight traffic, construction materials production and trade) tried to implement the useful advice given by the experts.
The results of the game were summed up by one of the official guests of the event - Stanislav Beglov, Executive Director of “Expert-Rembyttekhnika”; he mentioned the doubtless advantages of this event. “Today the main problem of the majority of companies is lack of professional managers who are able to solve the problems on the high level determined by the market”, - said Stanislav. “Now “Rembyttekhnika” should compete with other leading companies of our market and for these purposes we need highly professional managers who will be improving their skills. In the course of such business games the beginning specialists can communicate with the top-management representatives of major companies and adopt some useful experience, trying their skills in the specially created situations. These games develop the skills of working in team and reacting to the situation quickly. Thus, during such business games the student-theorists and businessmen exchange their experience in a more productive way”, - added Stanislav Beglov.
