On the threshold of Science Day Trade and Economic Faculty summed up the scientific results of year 2012. The indicator of scientific activity of the Faculty is the number of professors who got their degrees. For year 2012 at the Faculty there were 11 dissertations defended including two doctor ones.
For 2012 the scientists of Trade and Economic Faculty published a record number of monographs (nineteen) which is the best indicator of SUSU for the last year. Thus the monographs of the following scientists were published: Alexey Fedorovich Chernenko, Irina Yurevna Okolnishnikova, Associate Professors Georgy Markovich Greyza, Yuliya Gennadevna Kuzmenko and Anna Borisovna Cheryadnyakova, young Candidates of Science Igor Valerevich Khateev and Vladimir Andreevich Markovsky and other scientists of the Faculty. Six monographs were published in the foreign press, four were published in the publishing offices of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, and four monographs of the Faculty were published by SUSU Publishing Center.
Within 2012 the employees of the Faculty got 8 patents for the scientific inventions among them there were the patents for meat snacks, red cottage cheese and others which became so sensational in the press.
In the course of the year the professors and employees of the Faculty published more than 70 scientific articles indexed in Russian Science Citation Index and fifteen times delivered their reports at the international conferences.
Such a high level of the scientific activity is set by the Faculty Administration. At the Faculty a great attention is paid to the involvement of talented students to the scientific work. Trade and Economic Faculty acts as the organizer of the International Festival of Advertising and PR "Green Apple", All-Russian Olympiad of Designers "Artistic Design in Advertising", All-Russian Competition of Graduate Qualification Works in Specialty "Accounting and Finance", management and marketing battles, competitions for the best prospective project and the best innovative idea.
Nowadays the plan of scientific works 2013 (the year of University Anniversary) has been already started to be implemented. This year Trade and Economic Faculty plans a lot of interesting scientific projects. For example, this spring in honor of the 70th Anniversary of the University it is planned to form the series of scientific works of the Faculty and a new scientific journal in the English language will start to be published.
