Summarizing and awarding the winners of "SUSU - Smart University in a Global Market" Advertising and PR Project competition organized upon an initiative of the Faculty of Journalism and the Department of Communication Policy were carried out in order to strengthen the competitive position of the South Ural State University on the global education market within the framework of the Project 5 -100.
South Ural State University has signed a cooperation agreement with Joanneum University of Applied Sciences (Graz, Austria).
Joanneum University is one of the oldest and largest Austria’s universities of applied sciences. Its main campus is situated in the popular student city of Graz. The other two campuses are located in Kapfenberg and Bad Gleichenberg.
Representatives of the SUSU Managing Committee for the 5-100 program, chaired by rector Aleksandr Shestakov, is actively preparing to defend the program for increased competetiveness of South Ural University (“Road Map”) for 2016-2020.
Today in Moscow, university program presentations are being analyzed, wording and details of the presentation are being clarified, and strategic prospects for future scientific and industrial cooperation with international experts are being discussed.
A team of biotechnical researchers from South Ural State University under the leadership of a professor from India announced an innovative development – anti-stress bread and yogurt. The public needs these and other products as an element of the complex correction of illnesses tied to chronic stress and a bad environment. The research results will be published in a month.
The academic and administrative staff of SUSU took part in the survey “Involvement”, designed to analyze a degree of involvement and interest of University members in the Project 5-100. The survey was conducted in two variants: on the University website and by sending to the electronic corporate mail.
Based on the results as of February 16, 524 people took part in the survey. The survey results have shown that on the whole SUSU members are informed about the Project and its role in further development of the University.
The meeting of academic staff of the University with a leading expert in the field of Russian education, Professor of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, Deputy Chairman of the Council of International Jury of Project 5-100 Andrey Volkov took place at SUSU on February 10.
On February 4-12, 2016 “Science of SUSU” large-scale scientific forum coincided with the Day of Russian Science will be held in the University. The main goal of the Forum is to strengthen research activity and promotion of scientific achievements of the University in the framework of 5-100 Project of competitiveness growth. Scientific Forum has united the complex of events called to demonstrate the level of scientific developments of the University to business circles, specialists and community of the South Ural.
On the 28th of December on the square of “Sigma” the presentation of competitive growth program of SUSU in the framework of the Project 5-100 “Smart University for Sustainable Development” was held.
The presentation has become a concluding chord of the year 2015 in the course of meetings and discussions of the Rector Aleksandr Leonidovich Shestakov with the staff of the University for a full discussion of the strategic program of the University’s development.
The regular strategic session was held on December 22 in the framework of development of the so-called “roadmap”, i.e. a strategic long-term plan of SUSU development for the period of 2016-2020.
The topic of a new session was development of possible scenarios of the Project budgeting. The search for solutions was organized in the form of a business game with the maximum plunge into reality.
From the 14th to 16th of December the Vice-Rector for international cooperation of SUSU, Doctor of Economics, Professor Viktor Mikhailovich Katоchkov made an official visit in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and International Trade (Guangzhou, China).
During the visit an official agreement on the entrance of South Ural State University into the International Russian-Chinese Association of Economic Universities was signed.
On December 5, 2015 ‘Science’ recreation center of SUSU held the strategic session on building breakthrough and competitive areas of research of the University within the framework of the 5-100 Project.
SUSU delegation has visited the III annual national exhibition ‘VUZPROMEKSPO – 2015’ which was held at the beginning of December, 2015 at the site of ‘Moscow’ Technopolis in the capital of Russia. Innovative inventions of research institutes, scientific and educational centers, and world-class laboratories were exhibited on the stand of SUSU.
On the 26th of November “Dialog of Russia and Arab East in the context of current geopolitical situation” International round table was held for the first time in Southern Urals region.
The delegation of South Ural State University (Chelyabinsk) will take part in the third annual national exhibition VUZPROMEKSPO-2015 held on December 2-4, 2015 at the “Moscow” venue of Tekhnopolis.
The delegation of the National Research South Ural State University led by the head of the project office 5-100 at SUSU - rector Alexander Leonidovich Shestakov began work on global conference-seminar among universities implementing 5-100 project.
The conference is held in Moscow at the National Research Technological University “MISIS” (Moscow Steel Institute), beginning 18 till 22 November 2015.
26/11/2015 at 15.00 in the assembly hall of the University will take place the annual information day for foreign citizens, working and studying in SUSU.
The central theme of the event will be the presentation of the program to improve the competitiveness of the university in the global market of educational programs and research in the framework of the project «5-100».
