SUSU hosted a meeting of students of the Institute of Engineering and Technology with the hero of the SMO, the holder of two “Orders of Courage” Andrey Kuzolev. It was held as part of the “Dialogue on Equal Terms”, a project of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), during which famous people from the world of politics, sports, culture and business meet and communicate with students.

AES trains engineers for the country's technological sovereignty

Since this year, SUSU has been training highly qualified engineering personnel at the Advanced Engineering School of Engine Building and Special Equipment "Heart of the Urals". "Advanced Engineering Schools" is a federal project launched on the initiative of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin in 2022. It is aimed at training qualified engineering personnel for high-tech sectors of the economy. 

SUSU is ready to become the operator of targeted operation of the Interuniversity Campus hotel complex in Chelyabinsk

On July 1, 2024, a delegation from South Ural State University visited the territory of the Interuniversity Campus under construction as part of the selection procedure for the operator of the targeted operation of the hotel complex. Ready-made residential buildings, rooms for students, common areas were shown to SUSU representatives. According to the results of the final negotiations, the university was recognized as meeting all the necessary criteria.

SUSU entered the top 15 ranking of universities in terms of salaries of graduate economists

South Ural State University entered top 15 ranking of universities in terms of salaries of graduates 2018–2023 years, working in field of economics and finances, prepared by the analytical center SuperJob.

Compared to the results of last year, SUSU rose by 3 positions at once and took 15th place in the ranking. Average salary of graduate-economists is 70 thousand rubles per month, which is 20 thousand rubles more than a year earlier. At the same time, 75% of our graduates remain working in Chelyabinsk.

SUSU scientists created a unique device which will save firefighters lives

SUSU Institute of Engineering and Technology scientists offered a way of modifying of compressed breathing apparatus which is used be firefighters during a fire fighting. Additional button on protective equipment will help to save the life of firefighter in an emergency situation.
