On Friday, 4 December 2015, the graduation ceremony of the Joint Master's Program of SUSU and Clark University will be held, graduates of the program will get Master diploma of both universities together.
Special guests of the ceremony will be the U.S. Consul General in Yekaterinburg, Marcus Micheli and Branch Public Affairs Officer Sarah Saperstein.
All 17 series of scientific journals “South Ural State University Bulletin” entered to the list of peer-reviewed scientific publications, where must be published main scientific results on Ph.D., doctor’s degree (The list shall come into operation on December, 1st , 2015)
The researches of the department “Inspection and quality control of food production” and “Facilities and technology of food production” are honored with the award at the XVII Russian wide exhibition “Zolotaya osen” that took place in Moscow, October 2015. At the most important agricultural forum in Russia, the researchers of Institute of Trade and Economic are honored with a cold, silver and bronze medals.
The Deputy Head of the Information and Analytical Department of the Science and Innovation Activities Office, the graduate student of the Economics and Finance department of the Economics and Management Faculty Daria Gorshenina has met with the Nobel laureate in Economics in 1990 for his work on the theory of financial economics, the world famous scientist and the founder of the modern portfolio theory, Harry Markowitz.
A convincing victory in the International Students Olympiad “Economics and Management – 2015” held at Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, once again won the students of the faculty “Economics and entrepreneurships”.

SSMS Siemag AG Executive Vice-President, Pino Tese held his first seminar for the Master's Degree students of the "Machines and Materials Pressure Processing" Department of SUSU Physics and Metallurgy faculty as a regular lecturer.
Mr. Tese was given a SUSU employee pass by the head of the Department,Vicktor Sherkunov, who introduced the new lector to the students and wished them to get maximum possible benefit from the seminars with the top-specialist.
A.D. Toshev, the head of “Catering technology and organization” department, V.V. Chaplinskii, the head of “Food engineering” department and E.I. Scherbakova, associate professor of “Catering technology and organization” became members of contest committee of the region competition, assessing the best catering organization in schools and colleges. It is the first time such competition for food production facility teams of secondary-level institutions in the Chelyabinsk region takes place.
The concert of young Chinese performance group “Shanghai Art Troupe”, a permanent member of Shanghai International Arts Festival is going to take place on the 1st of November at 15.00, in the auditorium of South Ural State University.
The team presents a wide range of performing arts (vocal, Chinese folk music, dramaturgy, cinematograph, dancing) and even traditional martial arts.
On April 12 in SUSU Performance Hall the first stage of Coca-Cola Hellenic contest for free language internship in London took place.
More than 300 participants took part in that stage; the guys did the test in English to check their language knowledge. According to the results 45 students and postgraduates get into the second round which will be held on April 18-19.
On April 11 at Vyatka State University (Kirov) the regional students’ competition in linguistics took place. The team from South Ural State University headed by Kseniya V. Akhramenko, Professor of Linguistics and International Communication Department of Linguistics Faculty, took part in the competition.
SUSU team comprised students of Linguistics Faculty – Tatyana Nikonorova (L-201) and Olga Vasina (L-203).
South Ural State University (National Research University) invites all the applicants and their parents to Open Day which will be held on April 21 at 10.00 in SUSU Performance Hall.
The applicant will be able to get all the detailed information concerning the faculties, all specialties, fields of study and admission requirements in 2013.
On April 17 at 13.35 at Trade and Economic Faculty in room 260/2 Lyudmila P. Nilova, Professor of Consumer Products Inspection Department of Saint Petersburg Trade and Economic University, will give the public lecture. In the course of the lecture Lyudmila Nilova will tell the students about coming changes in marking the food products.
The Professor of Community College (Virginia, the USA) will tell the students of Trade and Economic Faculty and Faculty of Food Technologies about the development of small business in the United States of America.
On April 15 Phillip Imel, Professor of Accounting, Business and Service Department o Community College, arrives in Chelyabinsk for an official visit.
On April 14 the official presentation of a new University division formed on the basis of Trade and Economic Faculty and Food Technologies Faculty – Institute of Economics, Trade and Technologies of South Ural State University – will be held.
On April 12 at 13.00 the first stage of the contest “Coca-Cola Hellenic” for students and postgraduates of South Ural State University starts. The participation in this event will give a right to have language internship in London.
The language internship in London provided by “Coca-Cola Hellenic” is an opportunity for every active and motivated student to go to the United Kingdom, study at the language school over there, get acquainted with new culture and improve his professional skills.
Veronika Pyankova, student of Adapted Physical Education and Medicobiologic Training Department of Physical Education and Sports Faculty (group 375), became the three-time winner of Russia in swimming competition among people with spinal cord injury (distance - 50 meters in free style and butterfly; distance - 100 meters in free style).
Veronika gained one more award and now she is ready to conquer the European peak. We wish her further success and new victories!
On April 5 the open class of Natalya P. Datsko, Candidate of Science (Law) and Associate Professor of Labour and Social Law Department, for students of Master's Jurisprudence program was held in a special room of Labour and Social Law Department. The postgraduates study within the program of "Labour Law and Law of Social Security".

On April 9 in the Exhibition Hall “Science and Technologies of South Ural” of SUSU Trade and Economic Faculty X Festival of advertisement, marketing and PR communications “Green Apple” has been opened.
On April 21 (Sunday) at 11.00 in room 121a of the University main building in the framework of Open Day of South Ural State University Mechanical and Technological Faculty will open their doors for school children, college and high school students, university graduates and their parents.
