South Ural State University (National Research University) invites to attend the qualification upgrading courses in "Modern technologies of documentation management" in the period from April 17 to April 30, 2013.
Educational program is aimed at: training of personnel how to create competent administrative documentation, to store and eliminate it, and also how to control the execution of orders stated in the documentation.

March 20-23 on the basis of Chelyabinsk State University the research and practice seminar "Cognitive linguistics and cognitive science of terminology" of professional development program was held. Koksharova Natalya Nikolaevna, Candidate of Science (Philology) and Associate Professor of International Communications Department, took part in the seminar.

Last week at All-Russian competition in mechanical engineering technology the students of Materials Processing Technology Department of South Ural State University branch in Kyshtym took the third place having left behind the students from Moscow and Kazan.
The team consisted of three students from group 567, graduates of 2013 of major 151001 "Mechanical Engineering Technology" - Irina Chernoskulova, Anton Renyov and Sergey Ustinov. Nina N. Suvorova, Associate Professor of the Department, accompanied students.
During the period from December 2012 to February 2013 the International Internet Competition in finance and investments "Financial Olympus 2012", organized by PFL University, Moscow State University named after Lomonosov, Rosbank and VTB bank, took place.
Among 5000 competition participants there were 17 students from Economics and Finance Department of Economics and Management Faculty; 10 of them passed to the second round. In the third round 2 students competed: Ryakhina Darya (EM-555) and Kashirin Gleb (EM-442).
South Ural State University held the selection within the framework of scholarship program and "Grants for young professors of Russian state universities" program of Potanin Foundation.
The competitions for students comprised written test to check their intelligence level, knowledge and logic; and game to detect their leadership and organization skills.
On March 28 in the night club Ermitazh the final stage of the traditional contest "Miss SUSU - 2013" will take place. At 20.00 the organizers will demonstrate the show called Another Jazz.
This year the contest celebrates its 5th anniversary; this means that the final stage will be held on a grand scale. The guests of the event will enjoy a real magnificent action. The compatitresses and the whole team of professionals will show the results of their cooperated work - defile, choreography, vocal and monologues.
Yesterday in the course of Big Academic Council SUSU Rector Alexander L. Shestakov awarded the students of Mass Communication Department of Faculty of Journalism with diplomas. The students took part in All-Russian Students Contest in Advertising and PR which was held at Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev.
The program of that event was interesting and quite rich; the jury members assessed the team work and individual performances as well.
March 20-21 the graduates of Mass Media Department (full-time and part-time education) have passed the state examination in journalism. The students did their best and were in high spirits.

On the occasion of 70th Anniversary of South Ural State University the professors of Faculty of Journalism issued their collective scientific monograph “Media text as objective element of journalistic education in the conditions of mass media convergence”.
Gathering of the best students’ groups from different universities has already finished in Tyumen. The students from 12 higher educational institutions from all over Russia – Tyumen, Tobolsk, Surgut, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk and other cities – took part in that event. This year the topic of the Gathering is “To the future with the best”.
In March at South Ural State University the competitive selection of Potanin Foundation Scholarship took place. Among the scholarship holders there are Elizaveta Antonenko (EM-552) and Artem Latypov (EM-301), students of Economics and Management Faculty, Economics and Finance Department.
On March 23 the students were awarded with the diplomas for their victory at Federal Scholarship Program of V. Potanin for the academic year 2012-2013.
At the Festival of Choreography which was held within the elimination round of the major event for the creative youth, "Student Spring - 2013", the Faculty of Journalism was represented by the dancing duet of Maksim Tsivki and Roman Egorychev. The students took the first place in the nomination "Free Style, Hip-Hop Duet".
The first round of All-Russian contest of graduation theses on commerce (field of study: Business) started at Trade and Economic Faculty. The contest is organized by Trade Economics Department of Trade and Economic Faculty. This kind of competitions has been held since 2004 thus this year the contest celebrates its anniversary.
On March 29-30 within the framework of 70th Anniversary of South Ural State University and 19th Anniversary of Faculty of Law aiming at scientific researches expansion, formation and development of scientific schools XV International Research and Practice Conference with scientific school elements "Current issues of Russia and CIS countries law - 2013" will take place.
