Head of Sports Perfection department

Sports have always taken an important place in life of the students of the University. The students have won medals of major championships. Today, over 1000 students of SUSU go in for 18 sports. Many of them were ranked Masters of Sports and take high places at top-ranked competitions. Coaches of the Sports Perfection department have prepared more than 10 Masters of Sports, International Class, over 30 students gained Masters of Sports titles, and about 100 Candidates to Master of sports.

Physical Education and Sports Club together with Sports Perfection department trains students in the following sports:

Kettlebell lifting
Powerlifting and weightlifting

Ice hockey (“Polytechnic” hockey team is the only student team in Russia that participates in national championship for non-student teams. The team was founded 60 years ago.)
