Association of International Students of South Ural (AIS)

Since its opening on the 23rd of December, 2013, Chelyabinsk branch of the Association of International Students (AIS) has been working successfully at South Ural State University.
The Association of International Students has a regional presence through more than 30 branches across the country. The main tasks of AIS are to help international students in their adaptation to the new environment, to help them solve the problems and issues related to studying, accomodation and leisure, legal and social protection.
The activity of the branch embraces not only the students of South Ural State University but also the international students from other universities of the city and the region. There are no special rules to enter the Association, which means that every student can be an AIS member.
Chelyabinsk AIS branch headquarters is located in the 3rd dormitory on the university campus and the access to it is free for all international students.

Center of Expert Assessment of Documents on Education
Offers the following service:
- Expert assessment (acknowledgement) of foreign education and/or qualification;
- Preliminary expertise and documents maintenance to the Federal State Budgetary Institution “The Main State Expert Assessment Center of Education”;
- Translation of academic grades from foreign scale into Russian and vise versa;
- Organizing the process of consulate certification of Russian documents on education;
- Advisory services on the issues of acknowledgement of foreign and Russian education.
Translation Office
Offers the following service:
- Translation of specialized literature, business documentation, documents on education;
- Editing and notarial certification of documents;
- Issuing Diploma Supplement of European standard.
Russian Language Testing Center for Foreign Citizens
Organizes education and conducts certificate test examinations of different levels of language knowledge – including elementary level – for obtaining citizenship of the Russian Federation.
