Anna Duts, fourth-year student of Trade and Economic Faculty of the specialty “Standardization and Certification in Food Industry”, was awarded by SUSU Rector with the Letter of Acknowledgement for her achievements in the scientific research activity. In December 2011 Duts A.O.became the finalist and prize-winner of the Competition “SUSU Activists” in the nomination “For Contribution to Student's Science”.
On December 11-12 the International Conference “Decent Work is the Basis for Economic Growth” was held.
The initiative of holding such a great international forum belongs to Putin V.V. in June, 2011.
It was the high-level conference: 16 international organizations, 12 Ministers of Labour from different countries, about 250 foreign guests from 80 countries. The whole number of participants was more than 900 people.
In December Irina Gennadevna Smirnova, Associate Professor of Trade Economy Department of SUSU Trade and Economic Faculty went to Turkey as she was invited by Antalya Academy of Tourism to give an author's course of lectures in business management for future managers in the sphere of hospitality.
On December 15 the event “Create holiday for those who need it” for the children from boarding school No. 13 was held. The students of Faculty of Psychology met with several groups of children of different age and presented them with New Year gifts, fruits and sweets.
Certainly, the main purpose of the event is meeting with children because the majority of them do not get enough attention and warmth of human contact. They are open, curious and they take care about seniors and about each other.
Within the framework of Student’s Assembly the winners of the regional student's competition “You are the Best” were awarded. More than 250 students participated in eight nominations and in each nomination three finalists were chosen. South Ural State University is proud of the students as the majority of the winners of competition are from SUSU.
In the course of the recent visit to Semey State University Maxim Borisovich Rebezov, Head of Applied Biotechnology Department, and the professors of Semey State University invented for the first time the joint Kazakh and Russian scientific project in the field of biotechnologies “Innovative energy and resource saving equipment and technology of dairy products processing in the conditions of integration with the European community and joining WTO”.
Round table at the Faculty of History in honor of heroic events of 1812
On December 18 at the Faculty of History the round table “The Patriotic War of 1812: modern ideas and discussions” took place. Such a topic was chosen by the students-historians not accidently as in 2012 the 200th Anniversary of the victory of Russia in the Patriotic war of 1812 will be celebrated.
At Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) All-Russian Student's Tournament of Physicists took place. 9 teams from the leading higher educational institutions of Russia participated in that Tournament.
On the basis of club hotel “Zolotoy Plyazh” the second, so-called “outdoor” event of “School of Young Leader” took place. In 2012 the record of the number of participants was beaten: 3 students from South Ural State University went to Miass.
In order to become a participant of outdoor seminar “TOP-100” the students had to pass the first level of “School of Young Leader”. In 2012 the number of listeners reached 1000 people and only the most active of them were admitted for participation in that event.
The joint project of the auditing company “Listik i Partnery” and Business and Competitiveness Valuation Department of SUSU Trade and Economic Faculty has been finished in December 2012. Within this project the forth- and fifth-year students of specialization “Finance and Credit (Banking)” had got an opportunity to undertake practical training in the field of Bank Auditing.
On December 18 in the Conference Hall of SUSU Library the seminar “Modern technologies of sanitization of the equipment at meat and dairy industry enterprises of agricultural sector” took place. The seminar was held by Ekaterina Anokhina, Chief Technologist of LLC “Third Millennium Technology” / ООО «Технологиятретьеготысячелетия» and graduate student of Applied Biotechnology Department.
Anna Sitnikova, student of TEF-570, specialization “Art Design in Advertising”, took the first place in the nomination “Best Student” at the annual awarding ceremony “SUSU Activists”.
After the most long-awaited night of the year, from December 31 to January 1, the holiday activities at Trade and Economic Faculty will continue. On January 5 in SUSU building No.8 the New Year Performance for the children and grandchildren of SUSU employees will take place.
The Faculty staff prepared for the kids a lot of surprises. The miracles will happen right at the entrance. Here the children will be met by the students dressed in the life-size puppet's costumes.
In December the students of Economics and Finance Department of SUSU Faculty of Economics and Management: Egor Maltsev, Polina Klimova and Andrey Suvorov took part in the elimination round of International Competitions in solving business cases in Ekaterinburg. The Competitions were organized by KPMG International Audit Company (KPMG's International Business Case Competition 2013).
Evgeny Vladimirovich Iogolevich, Associate Professor of Economics and Finance Department, Candidate of Science (Economics), and Darya Andreevna Gromova, graduate student, became the prize holders of the competition of youth projects "We are Chelyabinsk Region!" and were awarded with the diplomas for the 1st place in the nomination "Best Legislative Proposal". This competition is held annually and its organizer is Legislative Assembly of Chelyabinsk Region.
On December 18 in Concert Hall named after Prokofiev S.S. a significant event for South Ural State University will take place. On this day the most active students will get their award “SUSU Activists 2012”.
Gayaz Khamitovich Samigulov, Associate Professor of Ancient History and Eurasia Ethnology Department, became one out of ten men of art and culture who were awarded with State Prize of Chelyabinsk Region.
Mikhail Yurevich, Governor of Chelyabinsk Region, underlined that the State Prize had a special sense: "The prizes in the sphere of culture and art are not the grants for the projects. They have different status and value. This is the recognition of merits and high evaluation of long-standing creative activity".
December 14 South Ural State University celebrates its 69th anniversary! This day at 15:00 in SUSU Assembly Hall the vivid and spectacular celebration with participation of professors, students and creative teams of SUSU will take place. All friends will meet together to congratulate the University with its birthday and wish all the best!
Alexandr Leonidovich Shestakov, Rector of SUSU, will open the event with his congratulatory speech.
Employment and Social Law Department organized and held the master class with the participation of Vladimir Petrovich Galaganov, Professor of SUSU Employment and Social Department, honoured lawyer of the Russian Federation, corresponding member of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
“GTO badge can be seen on his chest, Who is the guy, it can hardly be guessed…” – these words of Samuil Marshak about an unknown hero can be referred to the most active students of SUSU Faculty of Trade and Economic. Now these badges are proudly shining on the chests of Lina Gileva, Gulnaz Nizametdinova and Artur Gasparyan. But unlike Marshak and his unknown hero, we know much more about the students of Trade and Economic Faculty.
December 14 in the capital of South Ural Region the first International Festival of Sports Complex "Ready to Work and Defense" in Russia has started onthe basis of our University. This sports event is devoted to the 100th anniversary of Pokryshkin A.I., three times Hero of the Soviet Union, and to the 69th anniversary of SUSU.
December 14 at 10:00 the opening ceremony of the new building of Military EducationFaculty will take place. Now the Faculty will be located near by the regional hospital with the address at Marat St., bld. 8.
