Faculty of Economics and Business Studies created in 1987 is one of the oldest faculties of South Ural State Univerisity. A distinctive feature of the educational process is the synthesis of the study process with a developed system of creative activity of students aimed to the active use of knowledge obtained in project studies combined with the usage of new technologies and modern methods of teaching.

- Information systems (functional model of effective project management development, the analysis of effectiveness and forecasting of socioeconomic systems using method of principal components, the analysis and image identification by computer vision method).
- Financial management (methodological foundations of constructional complex development, tax liabilities, financial management, methodological and institutional problems of audit).
- Entrepreneurship and management (operating efficiency of industrial enterprises and provision of resources in investment innovation process of the region, financial management in public and regional administration, team building and human assets, family and woman in entrepreneurship).
- Economic security of economic entities (economic security development to increase resource efficiency , development strategy of machine enterprises, energy saving in social sphere).
- Economics and business innovative development (innovation approach to enterprise management, cost management of transport services, innovation mechanisms of international economic activity , innovative management of human capital assets, neuromanagement, valuebased management, the science of competiveness and ELMI (Education, Leadership, management and Innovation)).
- Accounting and analysis (informative resources formed for management needs of accounting systems construction, analytical procedures and financial audit for different interested users).
