SUSU Preparing Festivities to the Knowledge Day

On August 31st, a series of festivities dedicated to the Knowledge Day will be held at South Ural State University. The events will include the 2019 Matriculation Ceremony.

At 10:00, the SUSU Education and Sports Complex will open its renovated indoor athletic stadium. Here, unique works have been performed on creating of a race track with special coating, which complies with the Olympic standards, and the climbing wall’s area has been expanded.

Students of the SUSU Faculty of Chemistry Took Internship in Big Russian Companies

The period of educational training and internships is wrapping up at South Ural State University. Within the frameworks of agreements with big companies of the Chelyabinsk Region and other regions, students obtain work experience at real productions during summer season. In particular, students of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics took internship both in Chelyabinsk and in other cities across Russia.

В Южно-Уральском государственном университете завершается период учебных и производственных практик. В рамках соглашений с крупными компаниями Челябинской области и других регионов студенты в летнее время получают опыт работы в реальных условиях производства. В частности, студенты Химического факультета Института естественных и точных наук проходили практику как в Челябинске, так и других городах России.

Just Like Home: Tutors from SUSU Help International Students Adapting

South Ural State University continues welcoming international students the number of which this year has significantly increased. Those who arrive get greeted by a team of SUSU tutors who help them adapting and blend into the campus life.

As of today, tutors have already greeted 52 students from 12 countries such as China, Indonesia, USA, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Sudan, Senegal, Ghana, Egypt, Iran and the near-abroad countries. Within the next several days, they are going to help international students adapt at the university and feel like home.

31 августа на территории Южно-Уральского государственного университета состоится фестиваль современной культуры «Искусство требует стен», который будет посвящен окончанию летних каникул.

Фестиваль «Искусство требует стен» ‒ это новый для Челябинска формат, который направлен на активацию творческих инициатив студентов. Идея проведения фестиваля родилась в ЮУрГУ и нашла поддержку у Управления по делам молодежи города Челябинска и Министерства образования Челябинской области.

ECG Pillow Will Track the Baby’s Breathing

Scientists of the South Ural State University have improved and patented an ECG pillow. It allows contactless monitoring of the newborns’ heart rate with high accuracy but also to observe their breathing. The device will minimize Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).

ЭКГ-подушка проследит за дыханием младенца

Ученые Южно-Уральского государственного университета усовершенствовали и запатентовали ЭКГ-подушку, позволяющую с высокой точностью бесконтактно отслеживать не только частоту сердечных сокращений новорожденных, но и наблюдать за их дыханием. Устройство позволит минимизировать синдром случайной смертности младенца.
