Tell the rector about your dream

Dear friends!

In 2019, Rector of South Ural State University Alexander Shestakov continues to collect feedback (wishes) from students regarding the facilities and resources available on campus. Share your thoughts on what could be improved or added to make student life on campus even more amazing!

The feedback tradition originated from Student’s Day on January 25, 2014. Students have a chance to share their ideas with Professor Shestakov on what positive changes can be introduced on campus.

Please note that your feedback must comply with the legislation of the Russian Federation and be personal.

On January 25 (Tatiana Day), Rector of South Ural State University will officially choose three student wishes to be fulfilled.

You must fill out all the blank spaces of the form below.
Form completion means you agree with the processing of your personal data.

Military Truck Condition Monitoring System (Twin Technology)

Address: South Ural State University 2nd floor 50, Ordzhonikidze Tel.: + 7 351 272 33 90 E-mail: engineering@susu.ru Head of the Project Andrei Keller D.Sc., Professor Research Advisor at Computer Engineering Centre About This research is a part of the collaborative project on lifecycle management of military vehicles conducted by the Ministry of Defence and Kamaz. Under this project, South Ural State University has been tasked with developing a method for determining the useful life of Kamaz military vehicles. The SUSU researchers are working on determining how much time a vehicle can last without repair to provide timely support and information on the condition of military cars. The university research team includes scientists from the Department of Engineering Mechanics, Department of Combustion Engines and Electric Systems, and Computer Engineering Centre. The research is conducted in collaboration with Kazan Federal University, a long-standing partner of Kamaz.  Results Experimental design and running tests for Kamaz vehicles. The vehicles were equipped with monitoring and measuring devices provided by South Ural State University (including LMS measuring instruments provided by the Experimental Mechanics Research and Education Centre). The tests took three months and were conducted in labs and training areas at Kamaz (Naberezhnye Chelny) and the 3d Central Research Institute of the Russian Defence Ministry (Bronnitsy). Based on the test results, the research team designed a mathematical model of the vehicle wear process that enables to determine the current condition and remaining useful life. The algorithm is a useful instrument for military vehicle condition monitoring, enhancing vehicle performance, and reducing vehicle maintenance costs. The University is planning to apply the designed model to other types of military vehicles and other engineering vehicles. Partners

Leg Rehabilitation Device

Address: South Ural State University Office 001 60, Soni Krivoy Tel.: + 7 968 210 84 28 E-mail: alex_petrov_2@mail.ru Research Team Vitalii Epishev Ph.D. Director of Sports Science Research and Education Centre Aleksei Petrov Lecturer at the Department of Computer Engineering (School of Engineering and Computer Science); Ph.D. student (Institute of Sport, Tourism, and Services) About As people worldwide are living longer and the world’s older population continues to grow, we see more people suffering from musculoskeletal disorders that require surgical treatment. Only well-timed post-surgery rehabilitation enables to speed the recovery after an operation and is an essential step in time-consuming treatment process. This research project aims to design and develop a mechanic rehabilitation device for patients with leg injuries that can function automatically during the whole recovery process. To recover after lower limb arthroplasty, it is vital to practice a range of active and passive exercises that strengthen hip, knee, and ankle joints. Vitalii and Aleksei developed a unique device that can be programmed to assist the movements of the lower limb in all directions, along with the software and a user manual.
