The Department of Digital Economy and Information Technologies of the SUSU School of Economics and Management and the University Boiling Point invite students to take part in the IT-START Hackathon, which will be organized September 13th through September 17th, 2021. The events are timed to mark the Programmer's Day celebrated on September 13th.

The IT-START Hackathon is an event dedicated to the generation of ideas and projects for the creation of IT services in the following areas: 
• Smart City; 
• Smart Home; 
• Smart University. 

The team of South Ural State University took part in the defence of the Priority 2030 Program. The event took place in a face-to-face format in Moscow on September 11th.

SUSU presented its development program until 2030. Within the framework of the competition, the university claims the basic part of the grant and the special part of the grant for the development of universities that provide breakthrough scientific research and the creation of science-intensive products and technologies, building its human resource capacity in the research and development sector.

В Южно-Уральском государственном университете открылся кейс-чемпионат для студентов IT-направлений, посвященный развитию «Умного города». Тема хакатона выбрана не случайно, ведь цифровизация и внедрение искусственного интеллекта в настоящее время являются ключевыми драйверами развития практически во всех сферах деятельности. Потребность в разработке инновационных идей обозначена в нацпроекте «Цифровая экономика», а также в принятой в Челябинске Стратегии развития города по принципам международных стандартов Smart City.
