The results of the selection process among members of Russian student brigades for the right to participate in international construction projects were announced. Based on these results, 20 people were chosen to participate in construction. The Chelyabinsk Region will be represented by two people, says the Ministry of Education.

On May 10th a second round of Scientific Battles intellectual contest completed, where young scientists received an opportunity to tell about their research to big audience and to test themselves in a scientific competition. Each speaker presented his/her discovery in an unusual form, the main condition for the participants was the ban on electronic presentation of their inventions.
April turned to be packed with scientific conferences, and students of the Department of Russian and International History of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities snatched this opportunity. Thanks to serious support of student science at SUSU, the students tested themselves at guest venues, where they successfully presented results of their research studies.
On May 14th at 15:00 the opening ceremony for the Ecology&Arts Exhibition will be held at the SUSU’s Arts Hall. Works by the artists presented at the university exhibition hall are united into exhibit blocks “Pristine Earth”, “Industrialization and Its Consequences”, and “The Earth of the Future”.
Хоккейная команда Южно-Уральского государственного университета «Политехник» стала бронзовым призером Студенческой хоккейной лиги в сезоне октябрь-2017 ‒ март-2018.
В декабре 2017 года прошел матч звезд Студенческой хоккейной лиги. В состав сборной конференции «Восток» вошли 2 игрока хоккейной команды «Политехник»: капитан команды Никита Васильев и Максим Антошкин. Тренером сборной стал главный тренер «Политехника» Артем Плетнев. Сборная одержала уверенную победу в прошедшем матче.
On May 20th an educational meeting on the basics of social project planning will be held in Chelyabinsk. The participants will learn about the assessment criteria of the grant competition organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, and will be guided through the paragraphs of the project map, as well as will be presented the possible formats of public defense, and will be offered consultations by experienced specialists regarding the thought up ideas.
