A unique television project by the university's SUSU-TV television and radio broadcasting company is titled Among the Best of the Best. This project was prepared within the frameworks of the 2019 Admissions Campaign. The project's heroes are the best students of our university, who have outstanding accomplishments in studies, science, sports and creative work.
Thus, for instance, a Master's student of the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science Ivan Lyzhin is a winner of the “I Am a Professional” All-Russian Olympiad and a three-times prize-winner in the semi-finals of the Programming World Championship; a Master's student of the Institute of Architecture and Construction Anastasiya Kyzyma already today is a recognized architect designing sketch and architectural concepts for the city of Chelyabinsk; a student from Sri Lanka Siri Sarana is successful in science and is a junior staff member at the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language at the Institute of Linguistics and International Communications.

"In the format of short videos, students, Master's students, and postgraduates of all the SUSU schools and institutes are telling that they made their choice in favour of our university because SUSU provides unique opportunities for everyone to become a high-class specialist in any profession," shared Creativity Director of SUSU-TV, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Liudmila Shesterkina. "The best of the best SUSU students use their experience to demonstrate to the enrolees that it's possible to achieve good results already while still being a student, and that can be the beginning of a successful future career."
One of the heroes of the Among the Best of the Best video project, a Master's student of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities Arina Marfitsyna , shares that she chose SUSU because our university has established excellent international relations, and in the field of studying journalism she was provided with an opportunity of communicating with media specialists from the European Journalism Training Association and of working in EUfactchek, a big international media project. A student of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service, Master of Sport of International Class Anton Bulaev urges the candidates to enrol with SUSU and go in for sports since our university created world-class conditions for development of sports.
"The heroes of our videos are proud that they're studying at South Ural State University," says head of the project, senior editor of SUSU-TV Olga Maruseeva. "They give a high assessment of our university, which offers all the required resources for scientific activity, and good scholarships; and each student has a chance to fulfil all his/her plans and ideas at SUSU. And this means that each student can obtain quality fundamental education and later on find a job of his/her dreams."
15 videos have already aired, and some of those were translated into English. The shooting within the project is still in progress.
