The International Youth Cooking Festival has already become a good tradition at South Ural State University. For the twelfth time in a row SUSU will welcome those for whom cooking is something more than just making dishes. It is art that requires patience, meticulous work and creativity. A cooking festival is but another step closer to the goal for those who decided to build a career in cooking.
It is planned that the festival programme will comprise five sections:
- Cooking and Class of Service;
- Confectionery;
- Art Design;
- Art Model;
- International Cooking Traditions.
Traditionally school pupils and students of secondary technical schools are among the participants. For young people the participation in this festival means an opportunity to prove themselves, and take a challenge on demonstrating their skills in cooking and confectionery.
It is important that the 2019 applicants, who win or become prize-winners, can be awarded additional points to their grade point average of the Unified State Examination when enrolling the Bachelor’s programmes in Production Technology and Catering Organisation, or in Services.
The leading specialists and heads of food-industry and catering enterprises of the Chelyabinsk Region are invited as the jury.
The festival will be held on December 13, 2018 as part of the celebrations on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of SUSU.
Venue: SIGMA Education Building (78В Lenin Prospect). Registration for participants from 10:00 to 12:00. Opening ceremony at 13:00.
