Non-destructive Inspection: A Conference Was Held at SUSU Jointly with Karl Deutsch Company

On May 24th the First Specialized Conference on Modern Technologies of Quality Control. Non-destructive Inspection and Mechanical Testing was held at South Ural State University.

Among the conference participants were the employees of UralSibPromServis Scientific and Production Holding, who is an exclusive representative of the German company Karl Deutsch in Russia and CIS countries; as well as the head of the university laboratories, and the heads of enterprises of the Chelyabinsk Region, Yekaterinburg, Kamensk-Uralski, Novotroitsk and Saint Petersburg.

The collaboration between SUSU and UralSibPromServis Company is built on continuous exchange of information and experience. The university graduates from various years comprise around 70% of the company’s total staff.

“We had a need of holding an event to promote our products, and since we are in permanent contact with SUSU, we were interested in holding the conference namely here. We are interested in attracting new employees, and we believe that science and production should be marching forward hand in hand. Moreover, we are planning on inviting students to our enterprise to demonstrate the state-of-the art equipment in operation,” says Igor Bakhtin, Head of the Industrial Equipment Department at Karl Deutsch.

The representatives of the company and of South Ural State University delivered their presentations on the issued related to ultrasonic, liquid penetrant, and magnetic-particle inspection, as well as demonstrated the operation of portable equipment and the most recent innovations.
