An International Contest of Mastery for Teachers of Russian as a Foreign Language will be held June 6th through November 15th of 2018.
The contest will be held with support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and Pushkin State Russian Language Institute.
The main goal of the contest is to find the best educating practices in Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL) and to increase the prestige of RFL teachers in the education market.
Among the contest’s tasks are increasing motivation of Russian and international teachers of RFL to improve their professional and communicative skills, revealing original pedagogical methods, expanding the target audience wishing to improve the level of Russian mastery for professional purposes online using open education resources, including the “Education in Russian” portal.
The contest includes the following stages:
- 06.06.2018 through 14.09.2018 – registration at “Education in Russian” portal (pushkininstitute.ru);
- 17.09.2018 through 28.09.2018 – Round 1;
- 01.10.2018 through 15.10.2018 – Round 2;
- 16.10.2018 through 31.10.2018 – Finals;
- 15.11.2018 – announcement of the Contest results.
