The annual all-Russian open contest has started for gaining the Russian President scholarships for university students and postgraduates studying abroad.
The contest aims at making the list of students who will be sent to study abroad at the expense of the federal budget allocations – scholarships by the President of the Russian Federation – for the 2018/2019 academic period.
The contest participants are those studying under training programs of higher education (Bachelor Degree, Specialist and Master Degree programs, as well as postgraduate academic staff training programs in the intramural mode of study), who excel in various fields of science, arts and culture, have significant achievements in fundamental and applied scientific research, and are recommended by their university’s Academic Council.
The Russian President scholarship comprises the scholarship holder’s expenses on studying, obtaining visa, traveling to the place of studies and back, accommodation, health insurance, and use of the local transport.
The scholarship assets are transferred by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science directly to the bank account of the receiving organization. The recommended period of studies is no longer than one academic year.
