The year of ecology for students of the tourist majors at the SUSU ISTaS began with an interactive field trip to the metallurgical zone of the Chelyabinsk oblast. January 28th and 29th were eventful and informative for part-time students of the Department of Tourism and Sociocultural Service. The future specialists studied ecological features for tourists in the winter period.
Within the tour, students visited two national parks, Taganai and Zyuratkul, as well as the location of the Serpievskiy Cave Complex. Students saw the Kolokolnaya and Mayskaya Cliffs and the Rock Koltso and visited the ice fountain in the town Sibirka.
During their lessons, the students gained skills for holding ecological excursions and independently discussed natural hydrologic monuments, the region’s cave systems, national parks, mountain ranges, and useful findings from digs.
Fourth-year part-time students Kristina Olshukova, Dmitriy Naumov, Albina Yakovleva, and Irina Nigmatullina served as organizers of the ecological tour.
