Joseph Oyana Debo, Victor Ogbo Akande, Dmitry Karpenko, and Tharindu Devinda Mendis Murukkuvadura, international students from SUSU, successfully passed the qualifying and district rounds.
At the regional round of the competition, which took place from November 6th to 9th in Yekaterinburg at the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin, the students became finalists and received winner's certificates. They will now present their achievements in the national final round, which will be held at the National University of Science and Technology MISIS (Moscow).
One of the finalists, Tharindu Devinda Mendis Murukkuvadura, shared his impressions of participating:
"I participated in the "Inspired by Creativity" category because I am a creative person. I took part in the general competitions on creativity and art, volunteering, and Russian history. I gave a self-presentation on "Why I chose Russia for higher education". It was a challenging part, where you have to cover everything in three minutes. Everything went well. The jury and audience said that the report was very good."
We wish the participants success and victory!
