Innoprom 2025: Alexander Vagner participated in the round table on the implementation of the federal project «Priority 2030»

A roundtable discussion on the topic «Implementation of strategic projects of technological leadership within the «Priority-2030 program» was held on the second day of the «Innoprom-2025» international industrial exhibition. The meeting, which was attended by the Rector of South Ural State University, Alexander Vagner, was held in the Community Center of the new UrFU campus.

The participants of the roundtable were representatives of universities, academic institutions, businesses, state authorities, public figures, and experts in the field of the topic under discussion.

The participants of the event discussed issues related to effective models of cooperation between universities and businesses in the framework of the «Priority-2030» program and tools for universities to attract companies to participate in strategic projects. They also talked about the integration of strategic projects in educational programs and scientific research, outlined the role of strategic projects of universities in the technological development of regions and assessed the contribution of business in the implementation of technological projects of higher education institutions.

«Today we are forming a large center for the development of industrial robotics – this is one of the strategic directions of university development, – said SUSU Rector Alexander Vagner. – We are reconfiguring many educational programs at the university to meet the current development goals, building up the intellectual resources in the form of well-trained graduates who receive education and work experience in the integration of industrial robotics. This has changed the very model of interaction with our industrial partners. If earlier our cooperation was focused on individual orders, now it is developing: we are integrating directly into the work processes, fundamentally changing the partnership model. For example, if a factory produces manipulators for different purposes, their line of products is naturally expanding, and we try to directly influence this line in order to understand which robot models are more in demand today and help bring the product to the expected solution that will be relevant for the customer».

Konstantin Bogonosov, Acting Director of Federal State Autonomous Scientific Institution «Sociological Research Center», and Ilya Obabkov, Acting Rector of UrFU moderated the roundtable.
