Discounts for applicants to Bachelor's and Specialist degree programmes (full-time education)
Studying at SUSU is a chance to get a modern, in-demand higher education and master a profession that meets personal interests and the needs of the labour market. Each student receives not only fundamental knowledge, but also practical skills necessary for a successful career start.
The advantage of studying on a contract basis at South Ural State University is a system of discounts that applies to a large number of educational programmes offered by the university. Find below a detailed information about who can apply for a reduction in tuition fees.
Applicants entering the first year of full-time Bachelor's and Specialist degree programmes can apply for discounts depending on the amount of points received at the Unified State Exam (USE).
Areas of study that require three Unified State Exams:
- 10% discount is provided if the total score of the USE points is 240 or higher;
- 5% discount is provided if the total score of the USE points is from 200 to 239 points.
Areas of study that require two Unified State Exams upon admission:
- 10% discount is provided if the total score of the USE points is more than 160;
- 5% discount is provided if the total score of the USE points is from 133 to 159 points.
In addition, a 3% discount is provided for full prepayment of the cost for the entire academic year.
Support for special military operation (SVO) participants and their families
South Ural State University implements a set of measures to support the SVO participants and their families. Thus, according to the decision of the SUSU Academic Council, SVO participants have the right to a 100% discount upon admission to any form of study in Bachelor's and Specialist degree programmes.
Children whose parents are SVO participants receive a 30% discount when they enter full-time study in Bachelor's and Specialist degree programmes. At the same time, in the subsequent year, based on the results of 2 sessions, the discount will be:
– 30% if 2 sessions are passed for “excellent” and “good” marks
– 15% – for “satisfactory” marks (without debts).
The rate of the discount on tuition from the 3rd to the 6th year for students who previously received discounts is determined by the decision of the next Academic Council meeting based on the results of the academic year.
Complete information about preferential categories
Applicants entering South Ural State University can use quotas upon admission. The university has 3 types of preferential categories: a separate quota, a special quota and a target quota.
Note that this year the list of categories of citizens who can be accepted for training in Bachelor's and Specialist degree programmes at the expense of budgetary allocations from the federal budget within a separate quota has been expanded. Thus, this category includes:
- Heroes of Russia and citizens awarded three Orders of Courage;
- children of military personnel and special services employees who took part in SVO or in combat operations on the territory of other states and were injured or became ill;
- SVO participants;
- participants in combat operations on the territory of the Russian Federation;
- children of participants in combat operations on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The special quota categories remain unchanged:
- disabled children;
- disabled persons of groups I and II;
- orphans and children left without parental care;
- persons disabled from childhood;
- disabled persons and veterans of military operations and military service.
Particular attention should be paid to the target quota. Targeted training is training at the expense of the federal budget under higher education programmes in the interests of the customer (government agency or municipal administration, enterprise or organization). Targeted training is carried out on the basis of an agreement with the customer who is interested in training students in a specific area or specialty and their subsequent employment.
This year, South Ural State University received more than 250 detailed target places, and 100 more are under consideration.
Since June 20th, a new platform "Work of Russia" will be available on the "Gosuslugi" portal, where applicants will be able to find information about all Russian enterprises that have state-funded target places in the area of training of interest. However, it is worth noting that information about target places of some enterprises of the military-industrial complex will be available in universities and on the websites of these enterprises.
Please note that applicants who are admitted through targeted training and who participated in the competitive events of the customer enterprise will receive additional 5 points to their individual achievements.
