Any contest, and especially an international one, is a history of sorts, the very landmark that gives a start to new great events in the life of school pupils and students learning Russian as a foreign language.
The Department of Russian as a Foreign Language of the Institute of Linguistics and International Communications of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education "South Ural State University (National Research University)" and the Research, Education and Coordination Centre "Institute of Open Education in the Russian Language named after A.S. Pushkin" have announced the results of the "Communication without Borders" International Contest of Dialogues.
This contest aims at popularization of the Russian language and culture, and development of communication skills in school pupils and students learning Russian as a foreign language. The participants had a task to record videos of their original dialogues on the offered topics.
Contest results:
1st place: 王圣之(Wang Shengzhi)and 崔赫凝(Cui Hening). The contest winners met all the terms of the contest, prepared meaningful dialogues and demonstrated good level of their language proficiency.
2nd place: 刘博涵(Liu Bohan) and 周芷名(Zhou Zhiming). The students demonstrated great communication skills, their talk was natural and lively, including thanks to their active use of gestures.
3rd place: Wang Xiaoli and Xue Ruichang. The participants prepared serious and deep dialogues. We would like to specifically mention their wonderful pronunciation.
We would also like to mention the dialogues by 文秋情(Wen Qiuqing) and 余淼(Yu Miao), Wang Xiaoli and Yu Shangwen. The contestants demonstrated sincere interest in the dialogue topic. We could feel that the participants could truly relate to the issues and problems they covered. It was a relaxed talk that felt like a real and lively discussion.
