On the occasion of the National Unity Day, the SUSU School of Economics and Management and Extracurricular Activities Office announced a collection of humanitarian aid.
Many schools and institutes of South Ural State University, as well as the “Invisible Front” volunteer association and the “I Am Proud” patriotic club actively joined the collection. All collected items, including warm clothes, protective equipment, necessary household chemicals, equipment items, including camouflage nets, were transferred to the “Mom's Hands” charitable foundation for helping participants and veterans of military operations and their families.
“The implementation of the state youth policy at the university provides for work in the civic-patriotic direction. In particular, in this context, on the National Unity Day, the School of Economics and Management organized a collection of humanitarian aid for those who fight in the Special Military Operation (SVO) zone. Our students actively joined in organizing the event, not only bringing clothes, but also drawing posters and actively sharing information about the collection. I am glad that other university schools and institutes have joined our event. I want to express gratitude to the Institute of Law, the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, the School of Medical Biology, the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service, the Institute of Engineering and Technology and many others. Together we have done a good deed and already in early December our large cargo will reach the men who are defending our Motherland today,” noted Anastasiia Lapo, Deputy Director for Discipline Activities of the School of Economics and Management.
On November 12th representatives of the foundation, headed by deputy of the Chelyabinsk City Duma Tatiana Sokolova (for her it will not be the first time that she is shipping humanitarian aid to the front) arrived to collect the items that our fighters in the SVO zone need so much.
“Students are not only future professionals, but also citizens of our country, ready to support those who are defending it now. Solidarity with the SVO fighters is not just about aid, it is a manifestation of patriotism and concern for those who are now risking their lives for a peaceful future,” said Kamilla Khusnutdinova, member of the Student Council of the School of Economics and Management.
