Matriculation Ceremony for Students in November: For Whom Is It Held and Why?

The long-awaited Matriculation Ceremony took place at the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language. At Sigma academic building, this traditional event is held not on September 1st, but when all international students arrive.

Head of the Department Aleksandra Mironova said some words of wisdom and congratulated the students. Representatives of the student body of the Institute of Linguistics and Communications Viktoriia Valova and Polina Ionych talked about the various student communities of our university and invited the students to participate in events and projects, learn something new for themselves, develop, and also wished them a bright and exciting journey called "Studenthood"!

First-year students presented their groups with musical creative numbers. Poems were also recited by students of the ЛМ-161 group Erik Saygin, Arina Harrsova, Milena Kuanshkalieva, and Myrat Begendzhov performed a solo musical number ‑ he sang a song in the Turkmen language to the accompaniment of the guitar. In a family-like atmosphere, the guys socilaized, took photos, and laughed. They made a video as a memento: everyone stood in a circle and introduced themselves to each other, so that they could remember this joyful day at graduation.

The new groups received traditional gifts: the Institute’s bracelets and albums for memorable photos from student life. The celebration ended with reading of Sabir Abdulla's poem Learn the Russian Language by the teachers and making of an oath to love and learn the Russian language.
