In the overall ranking, South Ural State University has moved 13 places up, to the 934th place among 12000 universities from around the world included in the ranking. Among Russian universities, SUSU rose to the 10th place (2 positions up as compared to January 2024).
The Webometrics ranking evaluates university websites and the presence of universities on the Internet, taking into account various indicators. The popularity of the university is taken into account: external links to the university website and the number of references are counted. Points are also awarded depending on the number of highly rated articles written by representatives of the educational institution.
The purpose of the ranking is to encourage universities to publish more quality content on the Internet.
The rating appeared in 2004 and is updated every January and July.
