Applicant-2024. Military Training Center at SUSU (NRU)

Military Training Center at South Ural State University consists of four departments: There are four departments: tank forces, communications, aerospace forces and general military training. The center offers a number of unique opportunities.

A student – a student of the MTC – learns a military specialty along with a civilian profession. Education for students, regardless of the training program (officer, sergeant or reserve soldier), as well as the form of study according to the basic educational program (government-funded or fee-paying) is free. Upon graduation, a student who has successfully completed his studies at the Center is awarded the military rank of "lieutenant", "sergeant" or "private", and he is enrolled in the reserve of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation without military service. Such a graduate can enlist under a contract in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and other law enforcement agencies, as well as make a career in public service.

To participate in the preliminary selection for admission to military training, citizens of the Russian Federation under the age of 30 who study full-time at SUSU, as well as those who study full-time in the fourth year of bachelor's degree at other universities and plan to enroll in full-time studies at the magistracy of South Ural State University are considered.

Candidates from among orphans, children left without parental care, family members of military personnel, citizens who have completed military service on conscription enjoy a preferential right during the selection process.

The state of health, professional and psychological qualities, assessment of motivation for military service, general academic performance, physical fitness, as well as the specialties in which students study are taken into account.

The Military Training Center trains in eighteen military accounting specialties for the communications forces, tank forces, rocket forces and artillery, aerospace forces (in the interests of unmanned aircraft) and the State Secrets protection service of the Armed Forces.

According to the reserve officer training program, training lasts two and a half years, for undergraduates – one and a half. According to the training program for sergeants – two, privates – one and a half years. After the final certification, graduates are awarded the appropriate military ranks: "reserve lieutenant", "reserve sergeant", "reserve private".
