On December 15, 2023 South Ural State University will celebrate the 80th anniversary since the date of its establishment. Our university is actively preparing for the festivities, which will be held during 5 days, December 11th through 15th. The event program will include excursions, exhibitions, presentations, flash mobs, contests, gala show, and of course, the anniversary cake.
To celebrate its anniversary, SUSU invites everyone to set off on a journey to space this year. You will learn about young stars, constellations of knowledge, international orbit, star trek and the main hero of the festivities – the star called SUSU.
During the anniversary week, students, teaching staff members and guests of SUSU will get a chance to immerse themselves in the rich-for-events university history and explore its traditions, activities of students and alumni, find out about the scientific discoveries and developments by our researchers and about the advanced studies in various fields of science.
The Rector of South Ural State University Alexander Wagner will hold a series of meetings with the official delegations from Russian universities, representatives of government authorities and business community at all levels, as well as with international students.
Over the course of the anniversary week, big attention will be paid to the activity of the SUSU schools and institutes. A number of meetings between alumni and today’s students will be organized. SUSU-TV student television and radio company will be streaming a Star Called SUSU event.
The festivities week will close with a big gala show, where SUSU student creative groups will perform, as well as honorary guests and university staff members will offer their greetings. During this show live music will be playing, and guests will be able to enjoy the fascinating performances and take a bite of the huge anniversary cake!
