Dear colleagues!
My congratulations to you on this relatively new, but already important professional holiday, the Higher School Teachers’ Day!
This holiday was established three years ago, following a decree by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia. It is celebrated on November 19th, on the birthday of a great Russian scientist and one of the founders of Russian education, Mikhail Lomonosov.
The noble profession of a higher school teacher keeps becoming more and more prestigious. It is difficult to overestimate the role of an experienced mentor, who is also enthusiastic about the subject s/he teaches, in the training of highly qualified specialists and in fostering of a personality. The academic and teaching staff members of South Ural State University are a crucial factor, which determines the quality of education.
Teachers not only spark interest to knowledge and self-development in students, but also engage them in research and project work, and inspire to obtain high results. In addition to that, they teach how to think independently, as well as make decisions and take responsibility for these.
I most sincerely wish new professional achievements to SUSU teachers! Health and well-being, wisdom and patience, optimism and endless creative vitality to you! Thank you for your high professionalism and hard work, commitment and determination, composure and devotion!
May every day bring you satisfaction from the completed work! May you have more productive ideas, as well as the opportunities for their implementation! May you have more talented students and successfully fulfil all your plans for the future!
Alexander Wagner, Rector of South Ural State University
