The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation organizes the 7th Annual National Exhibition "VUZPROMEXPO", which will take place in Moscow at Expocentre Central Exhibition Complex on December 10th-11th. South Ural State University will present new developments ready for widespread use in various industrial sectors.
The VUZPROMEXPO Exhibition is an event in which the leading scientific organisations of Russia and leading companies of the domestic economy take part. The aim of the Exhibition is to develop cooperation between business, science and commercial companies, demonstrate scientific developments prepared for industrial implementation, and modernize our country's scientific infrastructure. This is a good opportunity for the university to declare its scientific potential, take part in the discussion of the main topics of the Russian science and education, and get acquainted with the latest scientific developments for industry and business.
"SUSU will present projects in the main strategic directions: Digital Industry, Materials Science, and Ecology. The exhibits include a combined track-and-wheel vehicle equipped with a tracking control system; a servo-hydraulic machine for testing spacecraft controlled by a hydraulic drive with hydrostatic guides; samples of biodegradable materials; and equipment emulating sensors in pipes of an industrial enterprise, which transmit data on pollutant emissions in real time," says the Head of the Research and Innovation Services Anton Nurkenov.
A designed and tested by SUSU scientists sample of an integrated self-adjusting control system for a complicated technological complex of production and for transmission and consumption of heat energy and water will be presented at the exhibition. Experimental samples of autonomous intelligent pressure and temperature sensors, intelligent thermostats with a built-in room temperature sensor, autonomous intelligent residential water meters with a function of limiting water consumption were designed specially for this system.
A developed set of technological solutions for obtaining new metallic materials, from which containers for storing radiation waste are made, with the improvement of the method of their vitrification, will be demonstrated within the framework of the event. The metal materials obtained by the proposed technologies have increased indicators of physical and mechanical properties in comparison with the materials used at present; the technical and economic assessment indicates at a decrease in the cost of production of materials using the proposed technology. It should be noted that this set of solutions can be applied at enterprises of the iron and steel industry and engineering, as well as at enterprises that deal with the manufacture of non-standard and critical equipment.
As part of the implementation of the national projects "Science" and "Education", the Exhibition is a working mechanism to achieve the goals set within these projects and a platform for the presentation of the latest products and developments, conclusion of agreements, and establishment of new partnerships.
