The correspondence semi-final stage of the UMNIK-2020 competition, in which students of South Ural State University took part, has completed.
The UMNIK program is aimed at supporting commercially oriented scientific and technical projects of young researchers. Individuals aged 18 to 30, who are citizens of the Russian Federation and have not previously won the program, can participate in this program.
The winners receive grants in the amount of 500,000 roubles to conduct a two-year research work. According to the results of the previous competition, 27 people became the prize grant awardees in the Chelyabinsk Region.
This year, due to the unfavourable epidemiological situation, the final of the competition will be held in the format of a video conference.
